This page is dedicated to all the Sisters of Shooting out there. Whether you shoot or hunt with your sister, mother, daughter, or friends, or are looking to start shooting or hunting, this page is for you. Please email me a photo, short story, webpage, and social media links and I'd be happy to put them up on this page so we can all share our fun "sister's of shooting" stories and experiences.

I will be posting stories of awesome women and groups of ladies who shoot as well as companies that are very supportive to women. Lets band together and give other women and girls the experience, education, friendship and bond that we all share and encourage other women to learn how to shoot. Whether its for personal protection, competition, to beat the guys ;), or to put healthy meat on the table, include your sisters out there.

I will also try to include information for women on how to find training courses taught by women and links for ladies clubs and ladies shooting nights and hunting trips. Please check back as I get more information up on this page!

Ladies Training Courses and Clubs

A Girl and a Gun

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) is a shooting club established by women shooters for women shooters. AG & AG events are intended to be fun, social gatherings where women can come together for support, encouragement, ask questions in a safe and nonjudgmental environment, improve on their marksmanship, and bond together in the shooting community.

Personal Safety Alliance

Personal Safety Alliance provides a non-threatening environment where women can get the education and training necessary to use firearms safely and effectively.

She Bang Inc

I (Susan Hansen) compete in USPSA, 3 Gun & dabble in trap! I am an NRA firearms instructor and Chief Range Officer. I own SheBang, LLC which is a firearms training and Custom Hearing Protection company!

Babes With Bullets

Babes with Bullets™ is the only firearms academy traveling across the US offering training to women at a novice level, along with enhancing the shooting sports ability of women at the intermediate level. Based on a more informal “camp” atmosphere, each program is taught by women who are national and world shooting sports champions.

Refuse to be a Victim

The single most important step toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a victim. Seminars are held across the nation and are open to men and women of all ages. Today, hundreds of federal, state and local law enforcement officials from across the nation utilize this popular program in their crime prevention and community policing initiatives. Corporations, educational institutions and community centers have also adopted the program. All told, more than 100,000 people have benefited from these seminars.

Defensive Reality

Defensive Reality's approach to training is unique in that we offer personal safety training opportunities to people regardless of their chapter or walk of life.
One of our classes requires no physical interaction or weapons. We offer students strategies to use their brain to mitigate dangerous situations.
Next, we offer a physical self defense training opportunity, giving students easy ways to make their bodies work for them. There is no requirement for martial arts or pressure points to get away and make distance from possible predators.
Finally, is our firearms training spans from non-intimidating beginner classes to situational and decision making. Students may either progress through our training phases or with prior training documentation, may jump into any class as their skills allow.
Each training opportunity is designed to challenge skills and change the paradigm of the word victim. There are NO victims! Predators are looking for Targets, with training, everyone can become a harder Target. If someone has successfully avoided or survived an attack, they are now a HERO!

I do not specifically endorse any companies, clubs or programs listed on this page. This is supposed to be a resource for women to find programs, companies, products, and clubs that help and support women in shooting. Please do you own research from the links and programs I've provided on this page and if you need help please feel free to contact me or any of the other women shooters/hunters in the industry. I want you to have the best experience possible. Happy shooting to my Sisters!!!
