NRA World Shooting Championships Update

NRA World Shooting Championships
Once a year a majority of the best shooters in the world gather for the NRA Shooting World Championships. The event is made up of 12 different shooting disciplines and at the end of the match the best all around shooter is crowned NRA Shooting World Champion. This was my third year competing in this type of event. All of the guns and ammo are provided for the event so all the competitors are shooting the same firearms and ammo to try and level the playing field. I ended up finishing 4
th lady and 34th overall in this event. I had some great stages and some really challenging stages that tested my ability to adapt to a shooting discipline that I wasn’t familiar with. Despite hoping for a better finish, I feel like I walk away a better more experienced shooter.

Babes With Bullets Camp Durango

Babes with Bullet comes to Durango
On September 9-11th, Babes with Bullets had their first ever Ladies handgun camp in Durango at my range. Started by Deb Ferns and Kay Miculek, Babes with Bullets hosts handgun camps all over the country and has been running camps for over 12 years with over 5,000 Alumni. I was fortunate enough to come on as a Babes with Bullets instructor last year and it was an honor to be able to host a camp at my home range. We successful ran 24 ladies through the course. Next year, Babes with Bullets will return to Durango for a second time in September. If you’d like to sign up, look for the schedule to be released in November.
I am now teaching a Babes with Bullets course in Amarillo, TX this weekend and will head home to start training for the 3-gun Nation Nationals and the Blueridge Mountain 3-gun a few weeks from now.
